This project is multiple slabs exiting the face of a steep elevation in order to allow skiers and snowboarders a checkpoint to rest before they return going down the slope. We wanted the entrance and exit to our lodge to be seamless to allow for this transition from slope to lodge and vice versa, we acheived this effect by cutting into the land and filling the void space with our structure. This allowed us to provide more stability and gavet he structure a more impactful presence, like the structure is potruding out the face of a mountain.
