In the bustling city of New York, finding the time for breaks is challenging. Interested in the importance of breaks, we researched how they can affect both the workplace and individuals. We found that by utilizing breaks throughout the workday, people are not only more productive but in healthier mental states. We incorporated our findings into our building by implementing spaces for breaks throughout the workplace. The result is a building that separates a beautiful mass timber structure into easily accessible zones for both work and play.
